The Founder

Clareissa Benton attended Texas Southern University along with University of Houston pursuing Accounting/Finance.  She started her exciting career at Shell working in the Billion Dollar industry of Oil & Gas all over the Accounting Department for over 15 years. 

Her vast & exceptional accounting experience came from working for prestigious Upstream Oil & Gas companies (Private & Public) like Shell, Hess Oil & Gas, PXP, Contango, Hilcorp, Mariner Oil & Gas (now Apache) & Cathexis just to name a few. 

Climbing the Corporate ladder landed her accounting titles such as Senior Accountant, Land Accountant, JIB Accountant, Regulatory Accountant, Accounts Payable Accountant, Tax Accountant, along with Cash Management & Personal Finance Management.

With mergers becoming the new normal causing on and off employment she started to freelance. Working as an Accounting Consultant for New & Upcoming Oil & Gas companies along with small businesses outside of Oil & Gas she was reminded of her passion for teaching how to save & balance your income. 

July 2017, she took a leap of faith and decided to go independent with Chasing Billions Mgmt. assisting small to midsize companies with affordable outsource accounting, bookkeeping & Financial Planning. Currently, Managing an extraordinary team of accountants, bookkeepers, & financial advisors.

Accounting being her first love u always get the question:  How long have you been doing accounting? she says “as long as I can remember I was a kid managing my father’s money” 

Her free time is spent being a mother, life coach that nurture and motivate people to attain their full potential.

Clareissa is an Executive Producer/ partner of a Record Label in which she teaches artist about money management and mentor young adults. Running a Nonprofit – Saving Souls.

CBM HISTORY

In 2017, CEO Clareissa Benton transitioned from Oil & Gas & founded Chasing Billions Mgmt. Accounting Services LLC and merged her accounting firm to work with clients outside of Oil & Gas. 

CBM has been the accounting department to small to midsize companies offering affordable outsource accounting, bookkeeping & Financial Planning.

Over the years assisting with several mergers, CBM has grown steadily to strengthen our scope and expand our company and service areas of expertise.
